“Ida” focuses on what it’s like to grow up in a family where alcohol or drugs are abused. The film shows substance abuse through the eyes of a child. The film is fictional, but the story is a reality for far too many children in Denmark at this very moment.
TUBA stands for Terapi og rådgivning for Unge, der er Børn af Alkohol- og stofmisbrugere, which is Danish for “therapy and counseling for young people who are the children of alcohol and drug abusers.” We help young people ages 14 to 35 who have grown up in families where alcohol or drugs are abused.
TUBA offers free, anonymous counseling and therapy for young people ages 14 to 35 (only up to age 24 in some divisions, however) who have grown up in families with alcohol or substance abuse.
